Fern Moe
Fern Moe, 75, Princeton, died March 3, 2007, at Fairview Northland Medical Center, Princeton.
She was born April 5, 1931, in Nelson, Wis., to Coye and Ina (Freer) Johnson. Her family moved to Minnesota and she graduated from Waconia High School in 1949.
She married Mahlon Moe, Oct. 29, 1949, in Chaska. The couple moved to Cologne where she was a homemaker to her husband and four children. She began working in the Fridley School District in the early 1960's and retired as the director of food service in 1976. The couple moved to Newell, Ia. in 1991 and retired to Princeton in 2004.
Survivors include her husband; daughters Viv Hansen, Audrey Ekman and Diane and son Larry; sisters Bonnie Newell, Joan Hicks, Betty Hedberg; brothers Norman and Roger; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Dale.
The funeral will be held March 9, at 1 p.m., at the Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home in Princeton. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., March 9, at the same location.
Pallbearers will be Collin Boettcher, Karl Boettcher, Billy Anderson, Bjorn Anderson, Charlie Frank and Billy Frank.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Evans, Dewey Reese, Merle Ingalls, Richard Sunderland, Rodger Anderson, Roger Boettcher and Clayton Frank. Burial will take place at Maple Knoll Cemetery in Osseo.
