Bernard Reiman

Bernard A. Reiman, 86, died at his home in Princeton Feb. 15, 2006.
He was born Nov. 19, 1919, in Princeton to Otto B. and Suzie W. (Schimming) Reiman. He grew up in rural Princeton and attended District 12 country school.
He married Laura M. Houran on July 9, 1940, in the parsonage of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He farmed following his schooling or worked as a carpenter until 1962 when he and his wife purchased Shirkey's Cafe which they operated until 1963. He then returned to carpentry until his retirement in 1980.
Survivors include son Dennis, Apple Valley; brother John, Forest Lake; sister Margaret DeBoer, Pease; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Ronald, brother Albert and sister Florence Hannenberg.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 4, at 11 a.m., at Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home, Princeton. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Princeton.
