Agnes Peterson

Agnes Theressa Peterson, 85, died Oct. 19, 2005, at her Princeton home.
She was born May 26, 1920, in Greenbush Township, to Rasmus and Carre (Troland) Thronson. She grew up on the family farm west of Princeton, attended school in a one-room schoolhouse and was a 1937 graduate of Princeton High School.
She married Lawrence Peterson, Nov. 25, 1939, in Milaca. They lived in the Grand Haven and Muskegon, Mich., area for three years before returning to Princeton in the early 1940s.
She was employed at Fingerhut Mfg., Princeton, and retired from Federal Cartridge. She was named American Legion Auxiliary Woman of the Year and in 1998 received a life membership to the Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her sons Roger, Dalbo, and Dennis, Moorhead; daughter Jayne Kiel, Foreston; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son David; brothers Howard, Monard and Kerrel Thronson; sister Celia Anderson; and grandson John Peterson.
The funeral was Oct. 22 at Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home, Princeton.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren Mark, Donald, Danny, Jennifer, David and Mandy Peterson, Bette Alferness, and Jeff, Erin and Jason Kiel.
Burial was at Baldwin Cemetery, Princeton.
